About Me
Hi I'm Rob and I live in London. I'm a property developer/landlord. I like to travel and have been to many countries. I like to speak and when I say I like to speak, I mean a lot and for a long time, if you like long and in depth conversations then we may just get along!
In my spare time I like to study languages. I'm studying Russian at the moment and would grade myself at lower intermediate level. I'd be keen to meet up with anyone who wants to practice language skills, I'm more than happy to help with English. I also like sports! In this order Boxing (Taking part and watching), football, rugby and Tennis.
I grew up splitting my time between London and Hawick in the Scottish borders so I know the UK pretty well and also spent nearly every school holiday on the west coast of Ireland. So if you plan to visit any of these places I can help you out. I've lived in London for the past 12 years and have lived on very low wages at some times. I have unique skills and knowledge of how to go out in London on a budget, how to get things half price and not get stung with high prices that most visitors end up paying! I am more than happy to help you get as much out of your budget as possible! London doesn't have to be so expensive!!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I don't feel like I've travelled unless I've met some local people. I enjoy speaking with people from different countries and different backgrounds. I love to make friends too!
