About Me

CURRENT MISSION

raise good men

ABOUT ME

While I am a devoted father, husband, and social activist, you aren't really surfing "my" home... you're surfing my family's.
We are fun loving, good natured, inquisitive and energetic. We are very busy though. The boys are musicians and we are on the road at times. If you decide to stay here, you will see a lot of things happening. It's a fast paced but fun loving environment. If you need your "space", peace and quiet, you may not consider this ideal.
We enjoy meeting others and learning about 'your world' through your experiences... we don't waste any time being forthright either.
We LOVE music and live performance. We are also passionate about empowerment and the idea of forging your own destiny.
My family is very unconventional and often called "so cool" and "amazing" but I don't believe that means anything aside from we are different from most families... as we read the references we get, we are flattered and so happy to share our experiences with surfers alike.

Be sure to read "about our couch". Even though we're chaotic, we have a routine and are focused on the band. Our references speak for themselves... if we can hook up, we will have a great time... it's just the hooking up part that is sometimes tough. We get lots of requests, and while we'd like to host them all, we can't always because of the band schedule, but please try!

PHILOSOPHY

don't label it (right/wrong good/bad) just help someone understand it and decide for themselves... teach don't assign... non-duality.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My family and I learn by sharing experiences with other people, eating, talking, drinking, laughing.

If I have time, I take surfers on a city tour, or one hour north to our cottage, or they sometimes even participate in a live rock show.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have hosted three surfers and surfed once. ALL have been amazing experiences.

I am also a certified Conflict Resolution Mediator, Project Manager and Management Consultant, and coach and I help people/organizations gain different perspectives to appreciate opportunities for change.
