About Me

CURRENT MISSION: Vélorution

I love literature, history and culture in general. I'm very interested in everything that has to do with bicycles, especially long riding adventure-trips, and in general I read a lot of things about ecology, vegetarianism and politics.
I'm vegetarian, I like to cook and I worked as "kitchen-man" in many countries: UK, Spain, Italy and Germany.
Plans for the future?
Open a camping in Greece, or an hostel, or a bar somewhere where is sunny and quiet. In 2014 I had amazing adventures on the North Cape: I met a lot of people and I did a lot of couchsurfing when wasn't possible to do hard-core camping in the scandinavian forests; and after I left everything to see the world!
Everything about the trip is reported in my personal blog:

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can show you Berlin, with its wonderful parks, cozy bars, live music, party and unforgettable experiences in the nature. Yes, I'll definetly lend you a bike :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In Italy: a couple of nice experiences when I was in Lecce
and then many many hosts during my cycling trips in Verona, in Augsburg, in Nancy, Calais and Amien, Munich, Leipzig, Poland, Estonia, Finland and all around Europe.

Interests

Sport, travels, bikes, books, music, ecology, ecocriticism, science fiction, history and politics, geography, chemistry and new technologies (especially when they have more than one green side). Alternative societies, root communism, radical ecology and Do it yourself philosophy are included too.

Music, Movies, and Books

I need a table, ciggies and a glass to speak about that

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There are quite a lot of them: once i have been cycling to the north cape on a narrow, wet and windy road and I have been chased by an emu while jogging in the middle of the australian bush.

Teach, Learn, Share

Ever bike? That makes life worth living!...Oh, to just grip your handlebars and lay down to it, and go ripping and tearing through streets and road, over railroad tracks and bridges, threading crowds, avoiding collisions, at twenty miles or more an hour, and wondering all the time when you're going to smash up. Well, now, that's something! And then go home again after three hours of it...and then to think that tomorrow I can do it all over again! (Jack London)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook
I can drink (it means I won't be drunk after 3 beers, but probably a bit sleepy after 8)
I can talk a lot - (un)fortunately.
I definetly can ride a bicycle and I know almost every spot of the big B
