About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Explore, learn, think.
ABOUT ME
I'm a pretty laid back guy, pretty hard to fluster. I try to live how I'd like without interfering with how others like to live. I try to be indifferent to wealth and possessions. My determination can be endless when something grabs my interest or I discover its importance. I try to be fair and to be loving to the people that show me respect.
PHILOSOPHY
I think about how to save the world. To salvage diversity of life and make human existence a long-lasting, positive sum reality. But most of the time I just experience. And some of the time I just pray for singularity.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: The Analects, The Meditations of Marcus Aurelius, The Omnivore's Dilemma, Accelerando, Adiamante, those books by Samuel Thayer, the Goethe that I've gotten my hands on, Shakespeare's Julius Caesar, and piles of other things. I'm not sure whether my reading has guided my personal evolution or my personal evolution has just magnetically attracted amazing books, but they're definitely strongly linked. Devouring books is part of my existence. Om nom nom.
Music: Lately, the strangest things I can find. Recently, old r&b, and things that have soul.
Movies: The Fountain
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spending time manning the Peace Vigil in front of the White House in Washington D.C..
Living and working with other squatters in NYC to refurbish a foreclosed home and return it to the family.
Flying over the coast of Spain at dawn and seeing the spiderwebs of city lights as the sun rose.
Cycling from St. Louis to LA.
Hitch-hiking the Yucatan.
Working in the jungle in Belize.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can build, deconstruct and tune bicycles, and enjoy sharing what knowledge I have. I enjoy learning about music and instruments, new languages, food skills, and am currently working on learning some programming. I especially love to learn about the plants around me and what to do with them. And I don't mind sharing what knowledge I've picked up. Ask me anything!
