Overview
About Me
Hey there future friends! Rob and Calah here. We are a pair of adventurous musicians from the southwest USA hoping to trot the globe. We love meeting people from other cultures, experiencing language, music, art and FOOD! Currently a chef/bartender and an ultrasound tech by day, we're musicians by night. Check out our band at www.quietlykept.com to see what we've been up to and where we're headed next.
We're looking forward to 'crossing the pond' to check out all that Europe has to offer next fall!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To discover all the corners of the universe available to us! We can't wait to meet you because we know YOU have the inside scoop. We want in on the best of the best, so who better to ask than a local.
Interests
We've got a lot going on!
Rob: I am really into comics, vinyl and movies.
Calah: I am more "outdoors-y". I love hiking, hot yoga and most recently stand up paddle boarding.
Both of us are gluttons for a good art or history museum and love music. Neither one of us can resist a good pooch snuggle, so if you've got dogs, we're you're kind of people.

Music, Movies, and Books
Rob: My favorite band is the Jezebels...check them out! I love independent movies and comic book superheroes along with historical and graphic novels. If you could see our bookshelf, you would understand why we can't pick just one or two favorite books.
Calah: Recently I've been loving Angus and Julia Stone but really I'm a collector of all things vinyl, especially from the 60s, and 70s. Also, if it's Bob Marley, I'm buying it without question. My longtime favorite movie is Moulin Rouge but we both love a good foreign flick and reading those sub-titles! I have an inordinately large collection of nutritional books. I love anything health and fitness related and am always looking for new things to try.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Rob: It's a tie. Performing at Warped Tour in 2011 or serving over 500 meals a week to the homeless.
Calah: Without a doubt, swimming with a wild dolphin in the British Virgin Islands on a sailing trip with my best friend back in high school. That was the raddest thing EVER.
Teach, Learn, Share
We've been fortunate to meet so many people on our west coast tours with the band. We love listening to tall tales and telling our own. If you point us in the direction of the best local fare, we'd be happy to whip you up a southwest breakfast burrito straight outta New Mexico.
What I Can Share with Hosts
While we are most looking forward to learning about your hometown, we'd be happy to practice English with you, or play you a song!
