ABOUT ME

I moved to Beijing 3 years ago, didn't plan on staying here for a long time but then the economy crashed in Iceland and the film industry went with it. So I'm in Beijing where I think I have more opportunities to do my job, which is to make films. I have directed 4 films in Iceland and I'm working on various projects here in Beijing. The most current being a web show. I have one 7 year old son and separated from his mother last year. He stays with me on weekends. We mostly walk around town, play football and the xbox. When he's not with me I work on my scripts, movie projects etc. I have a number of friends in Beijing who I like to meet and socialize with. Most of them are in the film industry.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't tried this before, a number of my friends are doing this and they all say it's great. I've been on various couches throughout the years and on travels, but never through the internet. My strangest couch experience was when stranded in Toronto after 9/11, originally I was there in a fancy hotel for 3 days during The Toronto Film Festival, but then it became 3 weeks while people sorted out the mess. Me and every other guest of the festival were soon put up in festival organizers homes until we waited for the all clear to board our flights back home, this time the stewardesses had become muscular "army" type men.
