Overview
About Me
I was born in Dublin, Ireland and now I love to travel... exploration in every sense of the word is what this journey of life is all about.
I'm very sociable, I love to talk and talk and talk, and pretty much about any topic! I'm generally always upbeat and happy, taking an interest in any activity that comes my way! I try not to take life too seriously and just love having a good time! Things that I value most in people are sincerity , compassion and a desire to remain open minded to everything.
I have just left London after nearly two years working in the music industry and I am now moving to South Spain to immerse myself in beautiful Spanish culture.
Things that light my fire:
Music, spirituality, religion, history, geography, physics, conspiracy theories, nature, animals and plant based whole foods. <3
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To be able to meet new friends in places that I've never been to! I see it as an amazing opportunity to get a first hand account and insight into someone's culture, learning about their history and their heritage and seeing how these things inter-relate with the grand scheme of the wider world. Staying with couchsurfers will enhance my experiences, allowing my perspective on these new places to be richer. Most importantly I will grow as a person having met new people who have different perspectives on life and the world based on their background which of course will be different to mine. So generally its an interesting union, where I get to laugh, learn and generally have an awesome experience!!
Interests
I am generally very interested in science. Earth based science - so the environment around us, how it has changed over the long term and how it continues to change and our role in that change. I love physics and particularly Astro-physics which focuses on the greater universe. I have a lot of my own opinions on the universe and how we are related to it based on numerous theories I have read about or watched documentaries on. Generally it just fascinates me!
I also love history and ancient history in particular. I've managed to get to quite a few historic sites in Italy such as Rome ( as a whole ), Pompeii, Herculaneum and Pisa as well as the Temples of Angkor in Cambodia, My Son in Vietnam and Newgrange in Ireland. I hope to visit Greece, Peru, Egypt and Turkey in the future to learn more about ancient civilizations.
I also love sports, especially outdoor activities such as rock climbing, hiking and running.
Yoga and meditation are also of great interest to me and two things that I practice on a regular basis to maintain and healthy soul and mind.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music is the biggest part of my life. I studied contemporary music in the University of Liverpool, England for three years. Generally I am a music junkie. I love everything! Trip-Hop, Downtempo, Lounge, Punk Rock, Ska, Dub, Classic Rock, Metal, Rap, Hip-Hop, Classical, Pop, Jazz...plus any sub-sub-sub genre or musical movement of the last 50 years and I've probably heard it...and if I haven't then please show me! Vaguely though my favourite artists would be Bonobo, Trentemoller, Radiohead, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, the Beatles, DJ Cam and Andrew Weatherhall.
A few of my favourite books include 1984 by George Orwell, A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter S. Thompson.
I studied Theatre in school for A-Levels as well as for one year at undergraduate level and so I have a great appreciation for film as an art form. A few of my favourite films include The Shining, Good Will Hunting, The Usual Suspects and Unbreakable.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Making family in new countries. My biggest joy came spending time in Nagpur, India working with a small start up NGO (the founders of which I met in Sri Lanka) and staying with a local family there who I live very deeply and speak with on most days.
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to learn more about everything which ultimately is the sole reason why I travel. I want to learn about a country and its people, seeking answers as to why they are the way they are or even why the landscape looks like it does. I want to learn more about the universe, about religions or ideas of religions, of past and future events as well as share my own personal views and beliefs of the world we live in and our place in it. If I can teach people along the way whether it be through my own ideas that inspire or teach other ideas or simply teach people about my own culture then I will feel very fulfilled.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my stories from my own travels. If there are places I have been that others haven't maybe I can share information with them about these particular places in order to satisfy some curiosities! I can also share my advice and opinions if anybody seeks it off me because life always presents challenges and sometimes we all need to gather a perspective from somebody that views problems or issues from a completely different angle to our own. I cook a lot at home and I hold myself as a pretty good chef! haha so of course food is a universal love and a great way to socialize as well as learn more about cultures in relation to food so I will always cook and share my favourite foods with people!
