ABOUT ME

I am an educator and wanderer who finds himself settled in Venice Beach. I teach online courses in Film History, Media Studies, Art History and Chess. I travel 3 months out of the year and when I'm home I host friends and friends I haven't met yet.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is a journey and we all play roles for each other. The human race is at the precipice of a grand evolution. I am hopeful for the future but aware that drastic or perhaps violent change is likely on the planet. I am spiritual but don't follow any path but my own.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been hosting consistently for the last 3 years. I Host about 25 people a year and surf maybe 4 times a year. I enjoy being an ambassador for Venice. I like meeting new interesting international guests and have a cultural exchange.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed in Europe and met the best people. In Germany my host was also hosting a Polish couple. We had the best day and night together with her as our tour guide. I am now friends with all of them and I realized this was what was missing from my Euro adventure. Local Human connection with people who share my inquisitive nature. People who are travelers and adventurers.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I hiked the Napoli coast trail solo and spent a week in paradise without unreal world assistance. This ancient trail is on west face of Kauai, HI and leads to Kaluelah Beach and valley where many beautiful refugees from life, live and thrive. Its a arduous 12 mile trek through varied climates and terrain along a steep cliff rising high over the ocean. There is mud, shaded jungle, and dry exposed stages
