Hello! My name is Robbie and I am currently on sabbatical from work. For the first 2 months of my 5 month adventure (April - May), I am traveling across Europe, looking to meet new people and to explore a wide variety of cities. This is my first time on this continent, and I am excited to experience it properly - meeting and staying with locals while seeing the sights and eating the eats. When I return to the United States in June, I will be riding my bike across the country with my sister and her friend Sophie. While I am taking a break from work, I still very much love what I do. I am a brand strategist for an advertising agency, specializing in trends in automotive communications, including the future of autonomous and electric vehicles. I am also a bike messanger and an aspiring drone pilot in my spare time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

While I will certainly be staying in hostels from time to time, I am on Couchsurfing to experience local culture, to meet new people, to see the world through the perspective of locals, to get recommendations from like-minded folks, and to share a bit about life in the United States

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy a wide range of music, but I am particularly fond of electronic dance music. That being said, I'll listen to just about anything with a good beat that you can dance to. I am a drummer. I am currently listening to Moderat, Policia!, Tobacco, The Black Keys, Run The Jewels, Wu-Tang Clan, and a lot more hip-hop. I am not bashful about attending different types of shows, from heavy metal to jazz - I will likely enjoy it.
