About Me

Hello, my name is Robby. Nice to possibly meet you

I love studying different languages and cultures. I love all types of cultures and fitness and outdoors things. I'd love to make new connections and exchange lifestyles and the stories we hold from traveling, or help out where I can.

I am currently in Calgary traveling/ trying to find a place to live here, possibly soon if I can. I love to help and give back wherever I stay and how I can. Be it helping with renovation stuff (as I have some experience with) or helping around the house, or sharing the cool stories I've been on and bringing a bit of the different cultures stories to you. I would love to do this back in the future if I ever have the place, too, or if I, too, am living abroad.

*Some places I have travelled and been to, long story short: I have been to france for about 3 months where I then travelled to Japan for two months where we helped with some english classes, and just truly dicovering the culture which I loved!
•Then I went on to Taiwan for 1 month where I also loved the culture and the language and the language
•Then went back to France where me and my bestfriend at the time went on a bike tour from the south of France to switzerland which took us about 3 weeks and was an amazing adventure which I'd love to share.

Please let me know if you or know anyone that may have a place I could stay for a couple of nights. I am very respectful and kind as I know you are allowing me into your house/sanctuary.

*I also have no intent on using this as a dating sight (I love to explore and make new connections and friends, and just looking to travel and gain new experiences and whatever life brings my way)

*If you want to learn how to swim, I could definitely teach you in exchange for a place to stay for a few days. Or can even help around the house, either with helping fix some things or cleaning

Or if you'd like to exchange stories or languages, I would be happy to do that too. Especially as got wide range of languages and love sharing and hearing about new experiences. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope to be able to give back one day when possible as well and pay it forward.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Since I have travelled a lot and covid put a big tamper on that. I have decided to do a roadtrip from B.C where I grew up and travel either wherever my heart takes me or see about starting a new life in Alberta, and love to see around and meet new people and have a place to stay, as I figure things out and also meeting new people and giving things back how I can. And possibly making life-long new connections along the way.

I really live the idea of couch surfing as having a place for travellers to stay and exchange a place to stay while your living at homebase and also exchanging stories and other things. And being able to use that when you yourself go travelling and just think it is such a great and smart idea and a real way to have a strong community around the world without having to break the bank staying at a hotel and truly get to experience the culture and people. And truly want to give the same back when I am able with either my own place I can house travellers as well.

I also really want to travel more and truly experience the culture and make real friends. I also think it's a great way we can both help each other out and better learn each others culture, language, and stoires and truly experincing what traveling is all about.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been traveling around asia for 3 months by myself and met amazing people and also picked up Japanese and Chinese along the way

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you english or some Japanese and chinese or even spanish. Also a wide range of things about exercise, especially swimming as I am a certified lifeguard. Or how to ride a bike if you want to learn. I would love to learn anything you want to teach me, and enjoy doing the same. And never against listening to an exciting story.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am looking to help in any way you could use. If that means helping volunteer with friends or family, I'd be happy too. Also I am a Lifeguard back in Canada, as well have done quite a bit of renovations in the past., so anything I could do to help with the skills I have, I would love to help. Also, anything else I know that you want to learn, I would be glad to teach. Like language (english, Japanese, some Chinese) exercise
