ABOUT ME
I'm human.
I think the only way humanity can Do the awful things we do to each other is by creating some barrier between us and who-ever we're currently murdering/maiming/torturing. creating an Us and Them. They're Christian/Jewish/Muslim/black/white/female etcetera. We need these barriers. But we're all human and that's more important than superficial differences.
Uhm, the point of That rant was that I don't want to label myself. But if I must describe myself: I'm 19, and taking a gap-year before varsity. I'm travelling in Europe for 9 months (less than three left!) and it's the most amazing thing I've ever done.
I want to change (and save) the world, but don't know how. ;) So if YOU know please inbox me!
I think there's a lot wrong in the world and society but travelling also shows you the best of people, like how everybody can be so kind and how a perfect stranger will go out of their way for you.
PS My profile seems really sickening and sweet now. I'm Not sickening and sweet. Really. I'm sorry it's coming across like that now! I'll change it. when I'm less tired.
Oh, and I'm on couchsurfing to make FRIENDS and have experiences, not to have sex. If you are on couch-surfing to enrich your sex-life that's your choice but I don't really want to be part of it, so maybe contact somebody else? ;) I'm here to make friends, not babies.
PHILOSOPHY

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
I haven't had any moments of Amazing revelation yet...
I DID witness the end of Apartheid and the first democratic election in South Africa. I was 4 at the time though...
okay, UPDATE! This happened through CS, and was amazing. That whole Couch-Surfing experience was life changing though.
I was couchsurfing at the most amazing community. Everybody got on well and there was so much Love around.
And then somebodies jacket was stolen from their bag, with there wallet, passport and drivers licence in it.
It was horrible. The trust was so broken. Everybody felt accused and no-body felt that there stuff was safe.
I'd been out all day with some others from the community, and as we'd come back we had passed some shifty looking teenage guys exiting the community. We didn't know them, they hadn't wanted to say Hi to us and they looked suspicious.
We all felt that they had taken the jacket.
That night, at about 3 in the morning, a few of us were still sitting around the fire when those teenage guys appeared again. They hung around in the shadows, not getting too close. Anna, one of the women I had been with earlier called out a greeting, being really warm and friendly. Everybody was really tense and someone muttered that "those were the guys!"
"I know." Anna whispered back. She then proceeded to make friends with them. She eventually got them to join us around the fire and chat to us. Somebody got the first aid kit and patched up one of them who had been in a fight. Anna was so warm, kind and friendly.
Like so many others I beleive in loving everyone, and giving everybody a chance. But until this point I had never seen anybody really Live this beleif. Anna Lived it, making friends despite everything. She turned what could have been an awful situation into a really positive experience. She didn't accuse them, or even ask them. She accepted them.
I don't think I've described this all very well, but it really was one of the most amazing things I've ever seen.
So thank you, Anna.
And the next morning the jacket, with everything in it, was found. But that wasn't the point.
