Hello World of Couchsurfing!

It's been almost 10 years since I first plunged into CS and hosted some wonderful gents in Manchester!

Now that I'm facing a year's sabbatical from my teaching job, I would love to travel and spend time socialising with hosts and immersing myself in local communities. I am keen to stray from the backpacker path and get a proper sense of the wonderful places that this amazing community is wiling to share.

Interests

I love Motown and Soul music - one of my favourite pastimes is going for a jog and putting on a spot of Stevie Wonder...

An amazing experience where I was able to meet an eclectic mix of kind and generous people!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a keen cook and would enjoy nothing more than cooking up an array of British delights as a small thank you... or, on second thoughts, maybe some international cuisine would be preferable(!)

For the nerdy Couchsurfers out there I am also a bit of a History and Geography buff (despite being a maths teacher!) so would love to share random trivia over a cold beer.
