Music, Movies, and Books

Movies - thrillers, dramas, historical, pretty much anything, especially films that move me. Not horror flicks except for Resident Evil and The Exorcist. Some favorites ... Argo, The Terminator, Shadowlands, Harry Potter, Shooting Dogs, Das Boot, Inception, City of Angels, Gladiator, Sin City, Bladerunner, Silence of the Lambs, Schindler's List, The Gods Must Be Crazy, Once Were Warriors, The English Patient, Escape from New York, Shakespeare in Love, Enemy at the Gates, ...

Music - classical especially piano, opera, house, rock, metal, blues, jazz. But not rap, Richard Clayderman, or country & western (except Lynyrd Skynryd and Ten Years After).

Groups or musicians I would buy a plane ticket to see: U2, Queen, Led Zeppelin, ACDC, Jimi Hendrix, H von Karajan, Muse (well I did already - brilliant!), Daniel Barenboim, Rinaldo Alessandrini - Concerto Italiano. I'd add Santana, Simple Minds, and Paul Weller but they've been to Dubai so I didn't need to, cool!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Paddling my surfboard out in a 4 meter swell. I should point out that I am not even a competent surfer, let alone a good one. Terrifying! But a wicked adrenaline rush!
