About Me

Instagram @manoj_ahau

Now I use my spiritual name Manoj Ahau.

Long time using that. My profile isn't very updated. I was living in a farm in countryside of Brazil in the last 4 years, in a very beautiful place called "Chapada dos Veadeiros". Now, I'm doing a big trip from Europe and India.

I'm open-mind and easy-going. I grow up in a very small city in countryside of Brazil, getting out to study and travel. I already lived to study in many cities in Brazil and outside. I like to hitchwiki, camping, parties, drinking (I was a very good drinker, but now I drink just moderately), meditations, science and philosophy. I love to chat with good chatters (teach me anything).

My stronger and first identified character trace was my relationship with other animals. I was 13 when I started studying farm techniques, I decided to become vegetarian and study animal ethics. When I was 17, I decided to be vegan, and in my undergrad I started to work on a non-speciesist science, working on alternatives to animal experimentation and humane education.

I learnt English living in the US and exchanging language classes in Couch Surfing. I learnt Spanish travelling in Latin America. Esperanto was the only one that I decided to study. I was teenager and I decided for my anarchism orientation looking for a free language. And I really liked that, but I don't use to practice it. I really admire Esperanto, but I don't speak very well now. I want to restart again. Definelly, before CouchSurfing or Hospitality Club, Esperanto already had his opwn system for hosting, the Pasporta Servo.

I'm pessimist and idealist... Like contradictory ideas. I understand the shit world we live, but I believe we can change it.

I use to trust people. I won't afraid to find "bad" people in my way and I believe all people can learn how to respect the others, including animals. I learnt about human equality studying human-animal others relationship and animal equality.
I work in a intersectional non-speciesist perspective and for this advance, we all have to accept our primitive society condition, understand that we aren't different from our society and actively change the behavior to an inclusive perspective.

I'm very persistent and I make what I want all-time, if this isn't a problem to other people and sentient animals.

I have good and very light objective in my life, and this include to change the world to other animals.

I was humanist, now I'm looking for a post-humanist perspective. I'm still constructing myself and I have no idea where I will arrive.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I met about CS in HospitalityClub and I really liked CS because it is clean and friendly.

I love the idea of to interact with other people, other language and other countries. I'm universalist, in other words, I do not have a nacionalist ideology, I defend every countries.
