About Me

CURRENT MISSION
I'm currently looking to move from Boston to either Portland, OR or the Boulder/Denver area in the Fall. I simply want to experience a new place, and start a new business in my field. I love Oregon, but people tell me to check out Denver and Boulder. If you want to share your insights about either area, feel free to message me!

ABOUT ME
Curiosity and adventure are two drivers in my life, which is probably why I gravitated towards filmmaking, writing, and photography - they give me a chance to explore, get inspired, and create.

I enjoy hearing the stories of others, and get excited discovering new places. Friends describe me as good-natured and laid back. I love animals, dogs and cats included. I'm an avid gardener, and even confess owning a garden gnome. I also run, hike, addicted to coffee, meditate, and have fondness for both city life and rural life.

PHILOSOPHY
"Live in the sunshine, swim the sea, drink the wild air." - Emerson

" He who dares wins" - SAS motto

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The goodwill that arises in traveling is at the heart of understanding and peacemaking. Couch surfing seems to offer that chance to spread good will and learn a new area through the eyes of a resident and not simply as a tourist.

When I am more settled, I will host in my new city.

Interests

I love the outdoors: hiking, trails, mountains, wildlife, fresh air,.. all of that goodness. I am also a city person with the love of the arts, theater, restaurants, music. During my free time I photograph, write, run, and practice insight meditation.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is too vast to list. I did recently see the Foo Fighters play at Fenway Park, and they absolutely rocked.

Favorite movies include Road Warrior, To Kill A Mockingbird, Star Wars, Fanny and Alexander, Casablanca, The Shining, Dr. Strangelove, Easy Rider, Serpico, and many more

Books: Currently reading books about entrepreneurialism. Like artists, I'm fascinated by how people who turn their ideas into reality, and learning tips for my own business. For fiction, I am a fan of Ian McEwan, Robertson Davies, and Hemingway.

Teach, Learn, Share

Not sure what I can teach or share that you might already know. But I can certainly help. I've been meditating for 8 years and can show you how, even if its simply for stress release. If you're curious about the inside scoop working in the film industry, I can share (my IMDB page: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2253607/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1). I'm tall and can help change light bulbs. Let me know how my stay can benefit you.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Always happy to bring a bottle of wine or cook a meal if you like. I'm also proud of being from Boston, so expect a little token from my city.
