About Me

A lover of life and people. I am originally from Brooklyn, NY, and I moved to Tempe, Arizona in early 2013. I am working toward my Master's degree at Arizona State University and am a photographer in my off-time or when the work presents itself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Honestly?

I have perpetual wanderlust. There is so much of the world I haven't seen yet. Most of the people I know that I once traveled with have grown-up and started lives that don't allow for much travel - at least not last minute or for long durations.

I figured joining a site like this would allow me to both meet people that are willing to travel randomly and interestingly or to meet people that might just send a message one day that sounds something like, "Hey, what are you doing? Do you want to get some brunch in (insert city) this weekend?"

Interests

Traveling of course. I love music and coffee and taking long walks. I love people watching and food and meeting new people. Talking about philosophical nonsense with a beer by the ocean. I love cities and exploring ruins equally.

What I really like is being able to just do nothing with people. No special goals or objectives. Just some food or a drink, a decent setting and just hanging out. Enjoying life as it is without any obligatory social events.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really like anything with a beat. The name of the music changes over time, but so long as there is a strong bassline I am a huge fan. EDM seems to be the front runner these days, but there was hip hop and house and a ton of other genres that brought that same soul-shaking awesome.

Movie wise I am really into comedies and action films, I find it difficult to pay to see very emotional movies.

For books I really like most of the early works by Paolo Coelho, like the Zahir or the Alchemist. The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Tuesdays with Morrie, The Five People you Meet in Heaven, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I walked the Camino de Santiago in 2010 and 2013. 1000km on foot from St. Jean Pied de Port in the south of France into Northern Spain and then west to Finisterre at the Atlantic Ocean.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bahamas, Belgium, Canada, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, France, Germany, Jamaica, Mexico, Netherlands, Panama, Peru, Puerto Rico, Spain, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
