About Me
Hi,
I am originally from northern England, but have lived all over the country for my education and work as an urban and environmental planner. I have traveled all over the world, and spent most of last year in the Americas.
Having mainly lived and worked in cities, I decided to try something different, and so moved to Dorset in January 2016. I love the outdoors, and this part of the country is perfect for me. Beautiful scenery, woodlands, wildlife, and dramatic coastal areas are within easy reach. There are many lovely towns and places of historic interest including stately homes and famous places such as Stone Henge and Salisbury.
I love hiking and have lots of hobbies, including pottery, wood-carving, travel, and reading. My interests include mindfulness meditation, photography, nutrition, geology, politics, beer, food, philosophy, history, and much more besides. Films and music from 1960s and 70s in particular are my favourites, but I'm always willing to try new things!
I like to meet interesting and fun people from all over the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I live in one of the most beautiful parts of England, within the countryside and near to the Jurassic coastline. I would like other people to enjoy this part of the country and make interesting new friends.
