Overview
About Me
I am an enthusiastic individual who loves encountering new perspectives and experiences. As an anthropologist, I love meeting people from diverse backgrounds who are willing to share their cultural capital. For the past two years, I have been living in upstate NY and enjoying all the beauty it has to offer. I recently completed a MS degree, and plan on returning to grad school for my doctorate in a few years. I love hiking, taking my kayak on the lake, trying craft beers (keep them dark and malty), camping, and above all, traveling. I'm a chill guy, easy to talk to, and love to get lost in the thrill of it all.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like to consider myself a "baller on a budget." I think couchsurfing can provide for an authentic travel experience that is mutually beneficial to the guest and host.

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy all kinds of music, but Lana Del Rey, Bastille, and Mumford to name a few. My secret addiction is 50s and 60s music!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My research has taken me to remote islands in the south Pacific. In addition to collection data for my project, I participated in a malariometric survey collecting population data from multiple islands in Vanuatu.
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to meet positive-spirited people and hope to learn new viewpoints-couchsurfing could facilitate this goal. We could share our travel experiences, meals, rock/crystal collections, and good conversation.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I could offer you a unique biocultural perspective that span domestic and international scopes, which can make for some interesting conversation. I could teach you about extraordinary nature adventures that lie in upstate NY and New England.
