About Me

Hey! I'm new to the couch surfing world, but I'm hoping to help people out as they come up the frosty north.

What type of stuff am I interested in you ask? Karaoke, campfires and canoeing tend to occupy my time up here, but XCountry skiing season is coming! I'm also sucker for a good concert.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because a couple of my friends have had a blast and I think it's a cool way to meet some interesting people.

Interests

I'm interested in travel, languages, salsa dancing, live shows, magic, books, concerts and good food. I’m also getting into the outdoors and am pretty comfortable outside :). I'm big on food, I'll try anything once and love to cook!

Music, Movies, and Books

My music bounces around, for right now I'm digging The Oh Hellos, but you can also catch me listening to Iron Maiden, Shakey Graves, Les Cannailles and what ever techno has popped up on my radar. I get around haha

For movies, I'm a big fan of Lucky Number Slevin, Spirited Away, The Thomas Crown Affair and The Shawshank Redemption.

Books, yikes! Where to start?!
I'm a sci-fi fantasy buff who used to work at a book store sooo I'll try and narrow it down.
Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss
Surely your Joking Mr. Feynman by Richard Feynman
The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher
The Universe versus Alex Woods (can't remember the author!!)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I’ve lived in Iqaluit for 2 years!

Teach, Learn, Share

Share: Good conversation, brunch, drive out to hikes, awesome books, great food and lots of laughs!

Teach: Canoeing basics, no knead bread making, smattering of french and coin tricks

Learn: Languages, any dancing you know, recipe's and stories

What I Can Share with Hosts

I've got a spare bedroom and a couch! Plus I've upgraded the shower head so you'll be living in the lap of luxury!
