About Me

I work hard and I'm respectful and greatful especially to anyone that is willing to help me out along the way. Life has taken me many directions in recent years. I've been in a few bands, gained many friendships, had my first serious adult relationship and began my journey in the trades. One thing that I have been waiting years to do is travel cross-country, meet new people, sit in with bands and work hard along the way. A goal of mine is to become a piano technician but other than that I live very free of a set direction. I like to play life by ear

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am gaining experience every day, especially working as a timber framer, carpenter and active musician, however, I am lacking other worldly experiences. I am an adventure seeker and am down for most anything. I am respectful as a guest and travel very light.

Interests

Most music genres other than new country, the outdoors, my old bimmer, reading, sober/drunk conversations, movies on VHS, dreams, playing piano and bari sax. Good food, photography, meeting new people. Being around good sense of humor.

Music, Movies, and Books

I try to listen to as much as I can. These days I really dig Morphine, The Bad Plus, Tom Waits, Zeppelin, True Widow, Timber tamber, t-rex, king crimson, Queens of the Stonage, Lana Del Rey, Leonard Cohen.
For books, Pillars of the Earth, A walk in the woods, the time travelers wife. Vonnegut is the man.

SciFi movies and TV for the most part. True Romance, most Quintin Tarantino, X-Files,
Battlestar Galactica, Twin Peaks, House of Cards, Star Trek Voyager, stuff like that

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Survived hypothermia on Mount Washington.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have taught piano students off and on for years from beginners to intermediate levels. I would be happy to teach people along the way. I also know a thing or two about Timber Framing now as well as a fair amount of frame to finish carpentry. I would be happy to help out aspiring builders with their projects while on the road. I know Maine very well and especially Portland and would love to introduce people to this place.

Countries I’ve Visited
