Overview
About Me
I'm a recent college graduate from the University of Chicago and I'm looking to finally start traveling before I start medical school. I was born in Los Angeles, moved to Chicago when I was 10, and have been there ever since. You can definitely consider me a city person, I'm always looking to explore the culture of each city through its food, language, and people! I definitely consider myself an outdoors person and will take every opportunity to go hiking, have a picnic outside, or just wander around a city. I also love to learn, especially about things I have absolutely no prior knowledge in. My motto is to learn something new every day, hopefully you can contribute to it?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I havent done much traveling outside of the United States, with the exception of trips to Canada and Mexico, so I decided that I would embark on a solo, 5-week backpacking trip across Europe right after graduation. I just recently joined Couchsurfing through a recommendation of a friend with the hopes of meeting fellow Couchsurfers that can give me some tips along my trip, show me their unique perspective of their city, and hopefully meet amazing people and make friends along the way! I hope that one day I will be able to return the favor and host fellow surfers when I am back in the states and settled in :)
Cities I will be in during my five week trip: Basel, Munich, Amsterdam, Paris, Barcelona, Budapest, Prague, Berlin, Zadar, and Split. If you've been to or live in these cities, I would love to hear from you!

I love being outdoors, you can count me in for any activity that involves being outside. I also love trying new food and beer, its probably what I'm looking forward to the most at every city I visit.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to mostly everything, I always let my friends play their music in my car or at my house because I love learning about new artists and I get pretty bored of my own music.
Inception, The Martian, Interstellar, are some of my favorite movies I can think off of the top of my head.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've presented my research, as an undergrad, at the World Biomaterials Congress in Montreal this past May alongside accomplished graduate students and professors from around the world. And I had my first scientific publication in the same month. How many people can say they've done the same before graduating college?
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to cook some simple Latino dishes (I make some pretty god guacamole). I can also teach you the basics of Spanish. If you're a nerd like me, I can talk for hours about any topic in science haha
I love learning about different cultures, through the food, language, and the people. This is really what I'm looking for in a host, someone who can give me their perspective of their city and its culture. I also wouldn't mind picking up some words in a different language.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love cooking, and I would be more than happy to cook dinner with you. I can share my life story and about my family. I cant share much in terms of traveling experience, since I havent done much traveling outside of North America, but I promise you that the enthusiasm and excitement of a new traveler might rub off on you :)
