I've been away from home since I was 15, and have plenty of odd, amusing, or wild stories to share. I love history and travel, I can spend all day cooking just to give away most of the food. Besides that, I enjoy gaming, amateur photography or playing my harmonicas.

Wine and beer are lovely, but before anything else I'd take a nice glass of schnapps or scotch.

At the time of writing, I'm hitchhiking across Mediterranean Europe, and just reached Vienna after going as far as Zagreb. I'm looking for hostels to volunteer at from place to place, with my final goal being to reach Istanbul before meeting a friend and picking up a temporary job.

I believe travel is better when you get away from hotels and stay with locals or hostels, and that meeting new people is essential to any experience along these lines. I have little experience with Couchsurfing so far, but I'm eager to gain more.

Favorite music would have to be Bob Dylan, Pink Floyd, and Depeche Mode off the top of my head, but I also love CCR, Bowie, and a number of other groups.

It's been awhile since I've watched any movies, unfortunately, but I do love reading on philosophy, particularly Nietzsche and broader existentialist/absurdist philosophy.
