About Me

My name is Robert Hopkins-Knight. I recently graduated from the University of Colorado with a bachelor's degree in history. Now that I've graduated, I've finally got all that free time to take an adventure out into the world. I'm 21 years old and have never been out of the United States of America before. I'm very open-minded and love to discuss all manner of topics. In university I studied Japanese and Mandarin languages, however neither language really stuck(I am still learning both of them though!), along with East-Asian history and politics. I enjoy trying new things, regardless of whether I turn out to be good or bad at them, and I'm looking to make many life-long friends on my international travels and through Couchsurfing. My hobbies include reading, walking long distances, archery, dancing(swing), debating, horse vaulting, and studying Archaeological mysteries/Ancient history.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm going on my first adventure outside of the United States and, after many reviews and long deliberation, decided to Couchsurf the world so I can meet and connect with new people and become better immersed within which ever countries I find myself.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like any music besides Rap and Trap music genres. I haven't actually seen too many films so it's hard to pin down a favorite, and as for books, I love pretty much all different sorts. My favorite books however are "The Art of Work" by Jeff Goins, "How to win friends and influence people" by Dale Carnegie, "Shogun" by James Clavell, and "Musashi" by Eiji Yoshikawa.
