Always been a hostel and air bnb man. Heard great things about couch surfing and love the idea of having a local show you the sights and sounds of the city from their perspective.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music -Paul Simon, the Stones, Bowie, DnB, RocknRoll, Ska and dub; recently found a beautiful Mauritanian music album

Movies - Love dramas and intelligently crafted films. Also war, horror and crime.Of course Star Wars.

Books - The great travel writers (Mathiessen, Theroux, Newby, Thubron), Dickens, Fitzgerald, Hemingway. Would take 'one hundred years of solitude' to a desert island if i had to choose one.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climb Gunung Rinjani in Indonesia. The early morning mist lifted as we approached the summit to reveal a scene no words can describe.

Can help with your English and Spanish. Decent cook. Plenty of philosophical chit chat. Interested in sustainable development, hiking and nighttime tales around the fireside.
