About Me
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm travelling the world for as long as I can manage and I'd like to meet some locals along the way, make some friends and learn a bit more about the places I visit than I could by just using hostels and camping.
Hoping to return the favour once I'm back in Edinburgh.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to all kinds of music from classical to folk to metal to indie rock to random bits of electronica. Lately it's been a lot of Wardruna (Norwegian folk-metal people behind the Vikings TV series soundtrack).
I'm a bit of a movie buff so I have a ton of faves: Children of Men, Casablanca, The Great Dictator, Thin Red Line, The Act of Killing, What We Do in the Shadows, A Separation, The Hunt, Dogtooth, In Bruges, The Grey, Black Dynamite, A Single Man, Life is Beautiful, Synecdoche New York, Under the Skin, Battle of Algiers... the list goes on!
And I'm an incorrigible Sci-Fi/Fantasy nerd when it comes to reading. I try to break up the junk food reads with history and science books; and nature writing. Faves include: Blindsight, A Sand County Almanac, The Lost Song of the Dodo and pretty much anything by Iain M. Banks and China Mieville.
Teach, Learn, Share
I manage IT for a small tech company; I can share quite a bit about general IT - fix computer problems, build PCs, teach basic
I also do a lot of wildlife recording in the UK. If you're ever visiting I can show you some of the wildlife we have (no lions and tigers here though, sorry!).
