About Me
Hello - I'm a history teacher. I'm British and live and work in East London. I put my holidays to good use travelling around, hence why I am on here!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have only heard really positive things about couchsurfing and it seemed like a really good way to explore new places and meet new people.
Interests
In no particular order: travelling; cooking; documentaries (King of Kong is the greatest film ever made); exploring odd little bits of London; eating out; reading; politics; history; outdoor swimming; running and hiking.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: A lot of indie rock, but with a smattering of grime thrown in because I live in East London.
Movies: Some faves include Indianna Jones (not number 4), Brick, Persepolis, Rubber and pretty much any documentary - but especially King of Kong.
Books: anything by John le Carre, George Orwell, Graham Greene, Mikhail Bulgakov, Karel Capek or Andre Kurkov. Have a taste for anything classicly British or darkly Eastern European.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've walked the Camino de Santiago - a 850km hike across Northern Spain, took me 33 days! Though I might have done it quicker if I'd drunk less red wine.
