Overview
About Me
I live in a small house in the hills above Zahle. Got a dog, cat and chickens and grow / forage my own vegetables.
You'll need to hike (around 4km) or get a taxi. Please organise your own food (welcome to use my kitchen).
I work as a designer and builder making buildings from natural and recycled local materials. I love it!
I've been here since 2017.
I'm happy to host interesting people who are passing through, want a place to relax or want to help me in some of my home or work projects. Dog lovers, vegans and musicians preferable :-)
I WILL Decline YOUR REQUEST IF DO NOT SHOW THAT YOU READ MY PROFILE OR SEND REQUESTS WITH ALMOST NO MESSAGE
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
The concept of couch surfing is wonderful. The idea of a community spread all over the world, sharing without receiving anything directly in return fills me with hope and warmth.
Not only can you (or I or we or one or everyone) travel the world more cheaply, but in each place you stay have a much more authentic, deep and rich experience.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I think I have hosted people now from Germany, Brazil, Canada, USA and Mexico and have surfed in Spain, Russia, Mongolia, China & Laos.
I don't like to think of things evening out (you surf x times and host about x times). I like the idea (or ideal) of just offering without thought of gaining in return.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
More than one...
- Living and working in a small village in D.R. Congo
- Spending a few days living on the street in Leon, France. The generosity of people, wow. Our generosity to others as a result. Wow
- Being a short-term monk in Yangon, Myanmar (3 weeks). Sounds contrary to the idea of renunciation but its quite common there
- Free Hugs in a few different places. Sounds tacky but... Connecting and sharing a smile and bit of closeness with strangers who I would otherwise have not ever interacted with filled me a huge joy and unity with other people
