About Me

Hello!! My name is Roberta, I'm from Mexico but I am currently an exchange student in Odense, Denmark. I study Pedagogy and I am completely passionate about education and about people in general. I consider myself a very calm person, usually I might seem quiet, but as soon as I begin to get to know someone I may become pretty talkative and outgoing. I have several hobbies, but I specially enjoy singing, cooking and art.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because I want to take advantage of my time in Europe by traveling as much as I can and meeting as many people and cultures as possible. I believe that Couchsurfing is an excelent way to get to know not only different cities, but different cultures and exchange ideas and traditions with new people from all over de world.

Interests

I love music and I've been taking singing lessons for a while now. Last year I began playing the piano and I'm starting to become good at it (I can only play a couple of crappy songs but it was hard work :D). I really enjoy all kinds of art (specially contemporary art, dance, and theatre). I like to cook different types of food and desserts.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite singers are Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran and a mexican couple called Jesse&Joy. One of my favorite movies is Amélie and my favorite book of all times is "A Thousand Splendid Suns" by Jaled Hosseini, but I think "Paula" by Isabel Allende is almost as good.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once I laid on the snow at -20ºC, right after being inside a super hot sauna, while watching the northern lights.. It was unbelievable

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some words "mexican spanish", how to cook a real mexican meal.
