I am a student in Aerospace Engineering at Georgia Tech in Atlanta, GA, USA. I love getting off the beaten path, meeting new people, and learning new things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

After starting visiting different places, I realized what I like best is meeting the people who live there. Experiencing, learning, and understanding a lifestyle is best when in the company of a someone happy to have a conversation. And hopefully I can share a little of myself and my experiences as well!

I've used AirBnB and the other usual ways to stay somewhere, but I've never had the opportunity to use couchsurfing. I'm eager to see what the community is like!

Interests

I've always had a love for both nature and science. I'm studying how airplanes and rockets work at my university. I also love backpacking and finding little secret pockets of beauty on this Earth. My girlfriend says I take too many pictures and not enough of them have people in them. I should work on that. I also play the viola and I enjoy a good movie, music, or book (probably in that order).

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite band is still and probably will always be The Beatles. Groups still around would include Muse, Justin Timberlake, Daft Punk, Coldplay, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kanye West, Queen, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin. My two favorite genres are classic and alternative rock. I often also play classical music.

Favorite movie is The Dark Knight. I love good movies that get you thinking and take you to another world. Inception, the Martian, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, etc.

Favorite book is whatever I've just read. I totally get into the setting. The Martian was probably my quickest read ever because of how riveting it was.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Backpacked for two weeks in the wilderness of Yellowstone National Park. Being a guest in true nature puts life in perspective. And finding some beautiful parts of Earth just adds to the experience. And it was nice to share experiences with people we found along the way.
