About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm Rob. I'm from Central New Jersey, and have called the East Coast of the US home for the majority of my life. I've studied International Development, and have spent a considerable amount of time traveling for my education. Now, I'm a member of a search and rescue SCUBA team, and work tirelessly on many various projects of my friends and acquaintances. I decided to start this profile on couchsurfing so I can meet amazing people with different passions and interests; hopefully hosting some you, if I'm in a place I'm able to, and as a way to learn new things about the cities I travel to through you!

Interests

My passion is working with socially minded positive problem solvers, people who have an entrepreneurial spirit and a positive disposition. I enjoy, more than anything, being able to bring out the potential in others and celebrate their accomplishments with them. Some Hobbies: I love brewing beer and meade, swimming& diving, discovering new music, composing some of my own, cooking, EATING, playing complex board games with gamer friends, reading ethnographies, plays, and studying languages casually.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Thing I've seen: In Yalta, Ukraine, there is a beautiful statue of Lenin, with an arm outstretched and wearing longing expression as he faces towards the Black Sea. I doubt I am the first to notice the auspicious placement of the MacDonald's a couple hundred meters away in the inner Harbor, but I truly appreciated the irony of Lenin appearing to crave a Big Mac as the country was still struggling between Russian and Western influence.

Countries I’ve Visited

India, Mexico, Ukraine, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
