Overview
About Me
I am a zoology student and researcher, officially and in everyday life, with a wish to travel the world and see firsthand the subject of my studies and to discover those yet uncovered. I want to share my passion (and concerns) for environmental and social causes through scientific and personal discussion.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Sleeping under a tarp in the wilderness doesn't quite provide perspective with other people, so I want to meet, learn from, help and teach hosts as well as other travelers!
Interests
While finding and studying animals is my most prominent passion as of late, I love to discover new people and cultures. Nothing beats flipping rocks to see what's beneath!
- animals
- books
- walking
- reading
- traveling
- cycling
- hiking
- canoeing
- swimming
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Traveled solo via train over a month and several thousand kilometers through jungles, cities, mountains, and desert in India, receiving immeasurable support and friendliness from Couchsurfing hosts and from total strangers.
Extensive research with a rare and understudied salamander in highlands of the Southern Appalachians, and encounters with numerous other species.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a lot about animals and where to find them, but not enough just yet.
Music, dance, cooking: not much to teach, but a whole lot to learn!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Exuberance and positivity in discovery and discussion.
