ABOUT ME

I'm Rob, I'm married (Sep '13), and couchsurfing sounds great fun. Nat's still a little wary, but she'll come round to it :P

I studying performing arts and theology at degree level, and am now studying for a Masters. I am a Christian, and try my best to love God and others, but don't worry, I only 'burn the heathens' every other weekend. Although in all seriousness I'm not ashamed of my faith and will be happy to chat about it.

I'm naturally a performer, and am at home on a stage, be it singing, acting, music, magic, or anything else I love performance.

THE WIFE

My wife, Nat, is also of a performer-y persuasion, being a singer and actress. Together we head up a small theatre company which tours round the UK. Nat is bubbly, friendly, incredibly organised and looks like she's 12. But I assure you, she is old enough to be married to me (currently the braces are not helping, but following recent jaw surgery, they should be off soon enough).

PHILOSOPHY

Luke 10:27 "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind" and "Love your neighbour as yourself."

Pretty much: Love God, Love People. I aim to live both

Furthermore John 10:10:

"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly."

Abundant life's what it's all about; living life to the full!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Me & Nat have a flat in Malvern, it's not massive, but there's a double sofa bed if someone needs to crash. Also we're fans of travel and meeting new people, so wahey :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Interests

Theatre: As a director of a theatre company, I guess theatre comes pretty high up the list, and I love being on stage

Music: I love music, I play piano, guitar and bass (I dabble in sax, accordion and soon the trumpet). I've written songs and my own material.

Singing: I love singing, whether it's solo stuff or choral things

Musicals: I'm a big fan of musicals, in fact I wrote and produced a musical in fact, 23 original songs and original script, and I'm working on the next one ;)

Magic: Something of a hobby, I'm no David Blaine, but I have left people speechless on many occasions

Circus Skills: I do bits of basic juggling, poi, devil sticks, just for fun

Anything else: I'm up for pretty much anything, I also do origami and fire-breathing, although not simultaneously. If you've a hobby I haven't tried, I'd love to get involved

I could teach music, be it guitar, bass, music theory, singing or piano, I could teach at a basic level.

If you wanna learn a magic trick or too I could teach you (although only the basic ones, most of the 'amazing' ones are secret)
