About Me

CURRENT MISSION

not become downtrodden, cry joyously more, love, get elected.

ABOUT ME

Meet me and find out! I'll talk about anything!

PHILOSOPHY

Appeal to heaven...and dream of it, too...otherwise we are just food for worms...and even if we are...rage, rage against the dying of the light!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Like most people, I host people on my couch every now and again and show them around the wonderful city of Bristol! "Bristol - not just a pretty bridge!"

I have also surfed in Amsterdam.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted some great people from Estonia, Italy, Ireland, Switzerland, Germany and France and want to get a COMPLETE SET of countries! (Only about 150 to go, right?)

It's really enjoyable because you get to meet lots of different people from many different countries.

Interests

Art, books, community, family, film, friends, God, human geography, music, North America (particularly the [north-]west coast), philosophy, politics, theology, trains, utopia, whether dreams can become reality or not...

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC: generally speaking, the crossover between indie rock, new folk, baroque pop, power pop and post-rock.

FILM: I have an eclectic taste. I would say that home territory is American independent science-fiction action adventure mystery thrillers with a touch of black comedy and a documentary/British realist feel. If it's biographical, that's a bonus.

BOOKS: utopian literature, biblical literature, travel writing on North America.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've helped get a friend elected.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a degree in theology, I know a fair bit about films, and I like to think my political knowledge is good. I can share my experience of British politics with anyone who is interested in intelligent discussion.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

United Kingdom, United States
