About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Currently writing as Masters thesis in Urban Studies!
ABOUT ME
I'm a student and researcher, living in Montreal for the past decade or so. In 2011, I lived in Aix-en-Provence, France. I was lucky to be able to travel all over Europe, and since then I've wanted to do as much travelling as possible.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm looking to travel without spending a fortune. Travelers are always welcome in my home. My door is always open (well most of the time).
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've hosted a few people in Montreal and in the south of France.
Interests
Other than my studies in urban planning, I am mostly interested in the arts: classic literature, movies, visual arts. I also like to cook and to go out to bars and night clubs. I'm very interested in the culture and history of Montreal, which I explore on a daily basis.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've had great luck finding fantastic accommodation when traveling:
In New York I rented a bedroom in a student apartment in Washington Heights for 2 weeks. Me and my girlfriend got to experience real Manhattan apartment living without having to pay through the roof! Outside of midtown you get to know a more authentic side of New York (besides its cheaper and the people are cooler!).
In Paris, I was hosted by friends from Montreal who had studied at the Louvre (free tickets and VIP tour!). The apartment was tiny, but again this was a very authentic experience.
In Rome, we stayed in a hostel that was run out of an apartment building by a family.
I like these options so much better than hotels (and even more conventional hostels). You get to meet locals and get a sense of how they live...
Of course I've also been lucky enough to spend a year in the south of France. Living in a different country has not only allowed me to travel but also to get a better sense of my roots.
