Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I want to meet new people, experience our nation's different cultures while being on the open road.
ABOUT ME
I go to work everyday like an idiot. I have raced bicycles for multiple years and other than the brief periods of adventure, my life has been semi dull. The only reprieve that I have is either on my bicycle or on my motorcycle. Once I retire, I would like to be able to travel the nation, meet new people and see the sights again. My goal is to complete one or two tours on my motorcycle and hence be able to check this off of my bucketlist. I am honest, hardworking, energetic, and considerate.
PHILOSOPHY
Treat people right and hopefully they will treat you right as well.
I live because some of the people around me would be devastated if i died right now! I have no life insurance!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Willing to barter good conversation and a helpful hand for a couch :) (I have experience in electrical, mechanical and construction just let me know what you need!)I heard of couch surfing through a friend and thought that it would be perfect for my trip. Once my wife and I finish furnishing our new house, and have a couch, than hosting will be more of an option. I enjoy the concept and how it benefits the strapped-for-cash traveller or the strapped-for-culture traveller. I look forward diving in.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have gone with my friend on some couch surfing gatherings, hikes and such. I had met some pretty cool people from around my neck of the woods.
Interests
I love cycling and riding my motorcycle and have done so throughout my whole life. I enjoy adventure, meeting new people, seeing new things, having intellectual conversation, seeing my children/ grandchildren, and playing chess.

Music, Movies, and Books
I recently read "The Unbroken" , awesome story about an Airman who crash landed in the Pacific in 1943.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have seen fish farms from the air along the shoreline near Manila. I have dived for Sahung from a small filipino fishing boat. I have watched people harvest rice totally by hand. And, I have skiied on Maeko Mountain in northren Japan. All amazing experiences.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have been on two wheels most of my life, first bicycles, then motorcycles, then back to bicycles, and recently back to motorcycles. I was a competitive bicycle racer for nearly 30 years, and currently do some coaching in the local racing community.
