Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Hi all, I'm Robert, 26 years old, and currently on an extend couchsurf riding the wave of generosity from friends, family, and strangers. I left Washington, DC--my home away from home--in January to find work in the field of gender equality. My travels brought me to Uganda, Rwanda, Belgium, and now I am back in Germany contemplating next steps.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I recently did a photojournalism project while attending the 59th UN Commission on the Status of Women. I interviewed and photographed more than 100 people in the streets surrounding the UN Headquarters and made the profiles available on Facebook and Instragram. What I Can Share with Hosts

Cooking: I love cooking for people! My skills are limited to vegan and vegetarian dishes (with the exception of bacon), as I learned to cook while I was vegan. I've only been eating meat, cheese, and eggs again for six months--I gave up my veganism to make traveling easier--and haven't learned how to cook meat yet.

Photographs: As a budding photographer, I'd be more than happy to shoot photos for/of you. I'm most skilled at taking outdoor portraits, but I can also take indoor portraits, and photograph events, food, and architecture.
