About Me

Hi guys! I'm Roberto from Mexico.

After finishing an 9 months internship at Orlando, FL, I'm back to Cancùn, my hometown where I'll be spending some time figuring out what to do with my life. So, who knows? I might look for another internship, I might look for a long-term job here, I might study a new language or trying to improve my English level, I might take some photography courses, I might vague around... I might do nothing, I might do everything. Time will tell.

Even though I consider myself a little shy/introvert person, I can also get the enough confidence to share my stories like if we'd met years ago. I'm an easygoing guy, who's also very patient and can adapt to any environment easily, maybe I'm not ready to really cold weathers, jaja.

One thing is for sure, I'll try to use the Hangouts feature a little bit more, so let's meet up!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'd tried different"travelers" apps/websites/forums to see if I could find someone to travel and share experiences with, but most of them seem to be, or seem to be confused as dating sites.

After I downloaded AirBnB, I saw the CouchSurfing app, I read the reviews and decided to give it a try. It was really impressive how big the CS community is! After looking some profiles and read the references, you can appreciate the kindness of people willing to share their cultures, experiences, their lives with complete strangers without expecting something in exchange! That is a really nice thing coming from both sides.

So here I am, hoping to begin a new journey that'd improve myself.

Interests

Recently I started to like a lot taking photos of colourful flowers with a different focus. I don't have a professional camera, just me and my chinese cellphone, jaja. Being said that, I'd love to learn about professional photography, so I can stop using the hashtag #amateurphotography at Instagram :(.

I like natural places, I've always wanted to visit and help, if possible, a farm.

I haven't seen snow yet :(.

I really enjoy walking, a lot. The more beautiful the pathway, the better.

I haven't hiked that much, but I'm down for doing it more often.

I LOVE playing boardgames! I brought a few games, so let me know if you'd be interested ;).

Music, Movies, and Books

Don't blame me, but the catchy korean songs, jaja.
My iPod has a little bit from differents genres, so give it a try.
I'd be down to listen to some live music!

I have lost the habit of reading :(, but I'm open to recommendations. I used to read a lot of thrillers/suspense books.

It's and always will be my favorite: After Thomas. Dogs have a humble heart.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Getting out of my comfort zone little by little.
The last one, decided to take the chance to do this internship program at Florida.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach easy things such as Spanish language, basic steps of a few latin music. How to burp, for real! Lol.

I don't know how to drive! So that'd be one of the first things to do whenever I decide to stop procrastinating.

I'm expecting to learn more from each of you, to learn from different life styles, what do you do when you're feeling happy, how do you deal with your fears, which place would you show me that makes you enjoy each single day.

I'd share every single thing I find interesting...or maybe if I get the enough courage, I'll show you two videos of me dancing salsa & merengue at a college performance.

What I Can Share with Hosts

The best thing I can share is time.
Someone who listens (for real, I don't talk that much, don't be disappointed).
I can share a meal, a drink, a game, a story, a walk, or just my presence.
I can help you on your cleaning duties, or walk/play with your dog! Or cat (?).
