Hi!

I'm Roberto from Turin, North Italy.

I have been living in Turin since I was a child and still today I am amazed at its beauty. Everyone should visit this city once in a lifetime. For this reason I decided to make my sofa available to travelers from all over the world.

I studied at the Politecnico di Torino and I graduated in Architecture but my passion for cooking, food and wine led me to the catering world, first as a pizza chef then, after some training courses, as a cook at Eataly, one of the largest market-restaurant of Italian products in the world. Now I'm moving on and looking for a job in the Architecture sector

I love traveling, especially in the islands, looking for sun, sea and tranquility but I also love the mountains, walking in the woods, camping and I am always ready to evaluate new experiences.

I am an avid reader and my house is full of books; I just started writing what happens in my life, as a personal exercise and as a basis, perhaps, for a novel but I'm also a lover of everything related to technology, especially what concerns the world of computers and consoles : I am a gamer since I was 5 years old.

I love to visit exhibitions and museums, in the free time I go running, sometimes you can find me in some of the typical Turin cafes immersed in reading, writing or enjoying the sun in the dehores of Piazza San Carlo or having fun with friends in the nightlife of San Salvario's neighborhood.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think this will be a great way to meet new people and share experiences and stories, the beauties of Turin and the Italian lifestyle, with particular attention to the world of cooking, an integral and inseparable part of our culture. At now I decided to accommodate, for practical reasons, only one traveler at a time. If you are curious, adventurous, open to cultures and people, we will get along great :)

I'm a fan of Star Wars, The Lord of the Rings and Alien. In general I love action / adventure and science fiction films, but also romantic films, auteur cinema, TV series (Will & Grace, Lost, TWD, GoT) ... many different genres, I do not have a favorite.

Same for music, it all depends on my mood, I can switch from Chopin to One Republic.
I do not like rock / metal / acid, trance music ..
