About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Reform democracy - Reach Gender Equality

ABOUT ME

I really like to meet new people, because every person is a door open to a new world. I am an enthusiastic but also meditative person. I like to talk a lot, about the world, about our lives... to have fun, to share emotions... to walk, to watch a movie... to discover the food of other cultures... to read a book, to have a cigarette with a red glass of wine... I can enjoy a crazy night on the road as well as an hour of relaxing spiritual music.I need to be around with many people but I also need my own space, with my thoughts, alone

PHILOSOPHY

We live to contribute. I don't like the egoism of our generation. I feel responsible for/of the world I live in. BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT FROM THE OTHERS!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am brand new in CS! I hope I will fill this blank empty section soon!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been living on the couch of many of my friends when I was younger! And they have been living on mine, when I've got one! As a guest, I really know when it's time to stay together and when it's time to go out and leave you with the privacy you need. I also rented the rooms of an apartament I lived in Naples, offering my services as tourist guide to my guests and friends, so I am really aware of how to behave in these situations. This is not difficult anyway because I am a naturally indipendent and respectful person as well as very social and funny. I am very excited by the idea of meeting new friends and discovering new places and cultures.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

What it really surprises me everytime is how, if you maintain your hearth and mind open to change and to the others, good things happen. I don't know if this is spiritual, psychological or even exclusively physical, but in my experience is something surprisingly (and happily!) true: if you keep yourself "tuned" to the others, to the nature, to the world - good things and persons come, even what you thougt it would never come true.

The most importat things and persons in my life came as a "gift", and the way in which they entered (or left) are the most astonishing of my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

"Live as you will never die".

Today a Couchsurfing friend, Ayemi, reminded me that a lot of people says that the best way to live is to live everyday as it was the last day of your life: but I never understood that.

If I knew I had just one day left, I would probably do nothing heroic: I would sit in my terrace, enjoy the dawn and the sunset, look at my plants, write letters for my loved ones, trying to close the circles of my life so that I could rest in peace and my families and friends find relief and be happy with what happened to me.

For this reason I think that I prefer to live my life as it will never end. Only this gave me the hope to see my dreams come true and the strenght to sacrifice for them. If I had no time to develop my projects, I would feel lost.

But maybe here we can find a compromise with the common sense: live your life so that you are ready to leave this world anytime. Don't hurt people, don't lie, don't repress your feelings, don't left any loved one unattended. Find your balance everyday, so that everyday can be your perfect day.

Maybe common people realize this only when they know they will die. Maybe only the death makes them understand what is really important and gives them strenght and courage to be, finally, what they wanted to be, to do what they wanted to do, etcetera.

I feel lucky, because somehow I already learnt this lesson, and so I can live like I will never die, by knowing that everyday I could.
