About Me

hellou!! here is Roberto, a simple genuine guy (at least some people said so), who's always looking forward to new experiences, discovering new cultures and meeting awesome people. i'm very open minded even though somethimes i cannot fully embrace a certain situation or a point of view but i always give it a chance and in the end if it doesn't fit me i try my best not to be judgmental which is not easy somethimes but i know that everything is right just how it is, so i smile and keep living. my strongest interest, if you can call it so, is spirituality. it is not something that you can really look for, the more you seek the less you find. you just need to let go of things and events and if you enter into the right mindset, or i would say "heartset" life starts to unfold for you in the most unpredictable ways and what you were looking for just finds you in beautiful ways. crazy synchronicityes began to take place when my journey started. understanding an recognition of the magic in life can only make you more mindful, greatful, loving and happy. i started travelling when i was 19. i was very naive at the time, but i followed my instinct and left to Australia without thinking too much about it. it could have been a disaster, but that was one of those cases in which the opportunity found me and i rode the wave, so it became the second beginning of my beautiful life! travelling has always been on my mind since i was a child but back then it felt like a dream but as soon as i stepped into that airplane i realised how real it was it was like rediscovering something that i had always known. it was already there, cause it was a dream coming from the heart not a dream of the ego. the consecuences of that seemingly uncounscious decision revealed themselves to be just amazing and full of real meaning. i ended up travelling quite a bit even though i wanted more of it. i visited southeast asia, nepal, netherlands, germany, england and India, which became my love in many ways, some of them so deep and life-changing that i kind of struggle to talk openly about. i found my vocation in england as i spent one year in a unique antroposophy (Rudolf Steiner's doctrine) based community, working and living with people with learning disabilities and caring for the land using biodynamic farming methods and i loved it sooo much that i decided that i want to be an ethically and spiritually conscious farmer! creating an oasis of love where humans can express themselves and riconnect with mother earth, where children can play freely and grow healthy in an healty environment, animals running safe and happy all over the place, a home for birds, bees and every creature that could possibly come by, and of course growing the best food according to nature and the cosmos so to nourish with an incredible variety of delicacies charged with love and light the whole community around me. it is just a bunch of beautiful ideas for the moment, but i believe in it, so every and each step i will be taking from now on will be a part of my journey to fulfill this dream. so i'm already sooo thankful with anyone who will host me cause you will be giving your support and contribution for me in order to take this dream a bit further into existance, and if you won't, well i hope that you will express a nice thought about a this idea. that for me could be your metaphysycal contribution.. in my idea of unity all of you are my team and, as afriend once said, team-work make the dream work!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

i think that people who are keen to host a complete stranger from any part of the world have a great sense of humanity and a lot to share. unfortunately i never had the chanche to host anyone cause i am not home most of the time and if i am the circumstances are not suitable for having guest. but as a traveller every time that i go back home i realise more how beautiful is the area i come from and that having someone to show all that beauty would be an additional way to understand how lucky i am to live i such place

Interests

i love having enriching conversation with people without any preconceived idea and sharing my interests. i'm generally curious about many things: music, art, food, travels, humanity, spirituality, photography, nature, people, sport. i play a little bit of guitar ukulele and drums , i'm not a so good but it's such fun! recently i started to excercise with piano. i just love to be outside in nature, observing and meditating. i also love photography. i love cooking, not because it was my job but because i think preparing food for other people and sharing moments at the dining table is something very noble and valuable

Music, Movies, and Books

i love the 60' and 70' but i generally listen to all kind of music, as long as it's created by good musicians who put passion in it (led zeppelin, pink floyd, jimi hendrix, tool, ben harper, radiohead, jason becker, elp, nirvana, debussy, erik satie, michel petrucciani, jeff buckley, beatles, janis joplin, area, pfm and many many others i am not really into movies, i have watched many good ones but when it comes to talk about them they usually dont come to my mind love travel and adventures movies and true stories but i prefer books, mostly about human interests, philosophy, essays, travel. i always struggle to choose a good novel, i usually rely on suggestions, but so far i can say without any doubt that my favourite novel is "Shantaram" by Gregory David Roberts

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Stopped lying to myself and started living from the Heart.

Teach, Learn, Share

i'd like to learn how to play a new instrument or learning another language. i could teach some italian cooking, but as thought as i think that food is one of the most amazing things about travelling i'm always open to try out new things! i can have my say in spirituality an filosophy. i can bring practical examples of my life on how we are the one creating it and we are responsable for every situation good or bad, no excuses and not blaming anyone or anything. i think that teaching or believing that people might learn from you is a big responsability unless you are a master in what you do so i would rather say that i can share what i have learnt from life, my only teacher

What I Can Share with Hosts

i've learned so much from people around the world and i only wish that i have absorbed enough goodness to pass it on to whoever i will meet. i am a good listener even when i dont completely agree with the other person. i think there is always something to share. but the most important thing is to share love, peace and great moments!
