About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Settle in Berlin.

ABOUT ME

Just read the infos below.

PHILOSOPHY

If you want your life to yield a good story, you should first be sure to be a good character.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosting, being hosted and helping people whenever I can.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, great. Surfed some couches, met some nice people - including my flatmate, actually. This is a (now not so) new profile, but I used to have a couple's profile and been using the website before.

Interests

Music, literature and languages, mainly. Also movies and all those things regular people usually like. But I tend to have very straight and narrow interests in almost any field.

Uh... after one year in Berlin I would be kind of lying if I didn't include partying in this list.

Music, Movies, and Books

The good ones, always. =)

As for movies, Almodóvar is a favorite, for example. Music, mostly rock and indie rock, but I also appreciate and can introduce some good Brazilian and old music. I love learning about new stuff as well, especially with non-English lyrics.

Books are a very important part of my life. My favorite author is José Saramago, but I also add George Orwell, Kenzaburo Oe, Jorge Luis Borges, Julio Cortázar, Kafka and Machado de Assis to a shortlist.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once walked over 100 km in three days. Traveled to a lot of places playing with my band. Went to study away from home and lived with friends when I was 15. Been some months of my life inside a merchant mariner's boat working as an interpreter. Wrote songs and short stories. Left my homeland to live abroad. In one year ended up learning a language and building a social circle from scratch. I have truly loved and have been truly loved. And noticed the most amazing things in our lives are not the things we see or do, but what we learn from them.

Teach, Learn, Share

My mother tongue is Portuguese (Brazilian), but I speak good English, Spanish and German as well. I can also play the guitar and cook some stuff. Always looking for nice places to go, so I also know a few ones around every place I visit.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Chile, Luxembourg, Poland, Uruguay

Countries I’ve Lived In

Brazil, Germany
