About Me

I will write about my dad here to help him out!
=)
My dad is a wonderful person. He taught me so much by being a good example for me. Not every dad would be ok with a daughter traveling by bycicle all over, but he always helped me out so that everything would flow like magic.
And now it's his turn!!
Since ever he has been telling us about his plans of traveling the world by car. No wonder I got so emotional when he told me about the plans in motion to go forward and take the leap of faith towards his dream come true experience.
He saw on Facebook a message on one of the traveler's profile he always takes a look. A family traveling around the world decided that the wife and children would be better off somewhere hot, and not go through the harsh autumn of russian siberia. This way the husband would go by himself! That's why he send a message worldwide to get someone to go with him!!
I can only imagine the thrill my dad felt while reading this message. Instantly he changed all his plans and, with all his heart, said YES!!!
Go dad!!!!
I'm so proud of him!
Going against the standart "retired life" he has a beautiful way of seeing things. His plan is to be happy and not to suffer. Good plan, huh?
He wants to live his life the fullest, living everyday the best way he can.

All his plans for this trip has been flowing smoothly. Of course some decisions has been made which were not that easy, and I now this will happen in some point during the trip. But I'm sure that the couchsurfing community will guide him all along, like you all did during my trip.

Take good care of him!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The idea is to travel not as a tourist, that goes by the city looking only at sight seeing places. The whole experience lays on the premise of actually being where we are.
Staying at a hotel, getting an airplane to check all the cities people normally would go, like ping pong in Paris, then Rome, then wherever is not my style. I want to have a full experience, taking my time traveling by car everywhere I can.
And, of course, knowing people throught this experience is a key point.
My daughter had many beautiful experiences with the Couchsurfing family, and I wanted to give it a try!
