I am an avid traveler, it is my passion and main motivation in the last 20 years and I consider myself very fortunate of having found the right balance between my professional life (I am a veterinarian) and pursuing my curiosity to see as much of the world as I can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have hosted and being hosted and there is nothing better than to meet people from different backgrounds. I love to learn about different cultures and ways of living and CS is a great way to achieve that. I feed on other people's experiences as I hope they feed on mine.
People sharing their homes and their time with strangers with no material compensation, just for the pleasure and understanding of it. To me this is a contribution to peace and it increases intercultural knowledge, understanding and appreciation. That's why I'm here.
Having said all this, I am finding that I enjoy hosting backpackers more than other types of travelers, there is usually more to share with backpackers so I have decided I will give preference to them when hosting.

My music taste is very wide and I am always looking for new music when i travel.
I like going to my local public library and getting random CD’s, I have found amazing music this way.
I love novels, spirituality and the occasional non fiction book.
As for movies I am a big fan of foreign films and horror but i also enjoy other genres.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Finding my way to Angel Falls in my native country Venezuela was one of the most amazing things I have done as it is a remote place to reach, well at least the way i did it which was backwards. I can tell you details and then I will know you have read my profile ;).

Teach, Learn, Share

I love cooking so I can teach you simple Venezuelan recipes and in exchange a simple recipe from your country would be great ! All this while sharing great conversations and some drinks .

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer my cozy one bedroom apartment with a queen size hide a bed in the living room. I love to cook so I can also offer you that as long as i get new recipes in exchange !.
If i have time I also really enjoy taking my guests (from couchsurfing and others) to the Rockies and enjoy with them the overwhelming feeling of awe they experience when they see it for the first time.
