About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Ukraine you're next!

ABOUT ME

I'm an uncomplicated guy who loves making new experiences. I like meeting friends and making new ones, good conversations and physical activities. Especially on journeys, I like exploring the spot by walking, biking, swimming or diving.
People say I'm pretty direct in what I say and so far I got good feedback on my "unfiltered" way of communication :) I also appreciate when people say what they think and what they want. I'm a laid back, go-with-the-flow kind of guy who loves to crack jokes and make people laugh. But it's up to you, meet me and see!

After traveling overseas and some other great spots on my own, I now know that even though cultures are different, people will always have similar interests and personalities, and you can only judge them if you experience them. I really appreciate all the people I have met so far while traveling, and I can't wait to start my next journey.

PHILOSOPHY

"...always look on the bright site of life..."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host traverlers in Munich!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed in the United States, in Italy, Latvia, Estonia, in Russia and of corse here in Germany. I hosted a couple of great people at my place and found very good friends! All experiences have been awesome! It's a great way to travel and even to spend your time in your town when you are hosting guests.

Interests

I love meeting friends and sharing time with them.
I want to see the world and improve my language skills. I like to talk to people of other cultures especially those who aren't as close to me as Europeans. So, I can learn more about their customs what can help to improve intercultural appreciation. I like my work as an engineer, since it's a never ending story of finding and solving problems, which can be challenging and hence improves your quality of life :) I find it exciting to talk to people who have completaly different interests than I do. It's like entering another life or world. I recently made friends which are all musicians (I haven't played any instrument so far and would judge my singing talent to be in the negative range of the scale). It was interesting to explore their world, lifestyle and their concerns. Just the (german) vocabulary for all the instrument parts and playing styles was like learning a new language :)

Music, Movies, and Books

not really fixed, not to much interested in names of any songs or something. Music is good, when it makes my body freaking out :D
Right now I reading alot of crime thrillers from Henning Mankel and I love it!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

robert has been here and there :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a mechanical engineer, working in a medical device start-up in Munich. Our aim is to develop a extra-cardia assistance device for heart insufficient patients. I like my job a lot. But I'm also interested in all other stuff like biologie, politics, countries, people and why do humans act like they do???? Interesting! So couchsurfing is a perfect way to figure it out....
