About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm originally from Poland, some time ago I decided to try to live in the UK for a while in order to, hopefully, earn some decent money, to learn English and of course to meet new interesting people and experience some adventures:) I'm an easy-going guy. I love travelling and meeting new people, am a real film buff, love cycling, playing the guitar, reading good books. I'll add more once I recall something:)

PHILOSOPHY

Hmm... How to put it into words and avoid cliché... Generally, trying to have a relatively fulfilled life, lol, learn, teach, help others (eg.volunteering)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'll be happy to host nice interesting people at mine, show them around, share different stories from my trips etc. Unfortunately, I'm living in a shared small flat currently so I can't host... But I'd happy to meet people for a chat, catch a film, show them around:)
Also, I do keep mentioning to my friends about this fantastic website so that they could participate too:)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Been using it for quite some time, great experience...

Interests

Too many sometimes;) As I mentioned above, watching films, reading books, travelling, cycling, listening music (mostly rock, blues, guitar instrumental music, but not only), taking photos, chatting with interesting people, improving my English, running, healthy eating, playing badminton and table tennis...

Music, Movies, and Books

Gosh, ok, let's try...
Movies: Groundhog Day, This boy's life, Fan, Mission, The name of the rose, The piano, The game, Casino, Schindler's List, New York New York, Ray, The Pianist, Scarecrow, Quiz Show, Angela's ashes, Hotel Rwanda, Love Actually, When Harry met Sally, Downfall, many of Woody Allen's productions or those starring Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Life is beautiful, Lock stock and two smoking barrels, and many many more... Also, loads of Polish amazing films (if anybody fancied it I could offer some with Eng subtitles:)
Music:
Stave Ray Vaughan, Sting, Ozzy Osborne, Guns n' Roses (only the original members), The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Joe Satriani, 1st album of Rage Against The Machine, Ten Pearl Jam, many tracks of Metallica, Steve Vai, Katie Melua, Michał Lorenc, old tracks of Bon Jovi, some pieces by Mozart, Bach, Paganini, Vivaldi.
Books:
Although I love reading, because some time ago I decided to read books almost only in Eng I can't read them as fast as I'd like to. The good news is I think I've reached this level that I fully enjoy it, and that's the most important thing about it for me currently.
Anyway, so far it was: The Pianist, About a boy, Alchemist, Kite Runner, Slash's Autobiography, Imperium, Gandhi's Experiments with the truth, and many many many books in Polish

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

All my trips (I'm soon gonna update them on my profile) I consider amazing... Maybe not all of them to the same degree but still:)

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, I guess, I can possibly give somebody some hints about playing the guitar, taking good (technically, at least;) photos. I'd learn whatever I find interesting... I like improving my guitar playing, improving my English. As for dancing, for instance, although I'm of the opinion that you don't really need to know how to do it 'professionally' in order to enjoy it, I've always wanted to learn some of nice routines anyway one day.
