About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I am writing every day, I'm having fun and balancing many projects, I'm looking for a place in the St. Petersburg Fl. area on a permanent basis and need a place to crash a couple or few days a week for the short term.
ABOUT ME
I joke around a lot and I like interesting conversations. I like to laugh. I like people watching. I like to stew on crazy ideas sometimes. I like to finish a project. My friends would doubtlessly tell you about an adventure or two that we'd been on that had almost landed us in trouble, but I'm definitely more responsible than a trouble maker. My Dad left me to run the dairy farm when I was 16 so he mom could run off to York Beach for the weekend! so ya everything went fine.
PHILOSOPHY
I've inhereted a litany of philosphies from family, friends, ministers, teachers and books. I embody them all, one way or another, but I never had the notion that the information I sought was in any way complete. Knowledge is a mountain whose surface is so massive that you can only examine it one side at a time, the other side is always obscured. It is intelligent to conjecture about the unknown and the not yet experienced that is what drives our dialectic.
There is not enough empathy in the world, I know that all that above I said was just gibberish but then there's love, ah love - let us never talk of this again.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I would like to host people at my place in New Hampshire when I'm there. While I'm in traveling I need a place to crash and write now and then. I like to meet new people and make connections wherever I go.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm a newbie. If you like my profile, see me out on Facebook.
Interests
All the normal stuff I guess - traveling in marginal areas of the world especially.
Seafood. Rock concerts. All those board sports. Mimosa lunches and beer.
Sailboats. I like to write, music too. I juggle and play the didgeridoo.

Music, Movies, and Books
Tom Robbins, Joseph Conrad, Norman Mailer, Jules Verne, -- I liked that insane book Life Against Death that they read back in the 60's, of course I like Kerouac but he just blabs on and on . . I love A Confederacy of Dunces.
Lately, honestly I've been listening to Gorillaz and Santigold MGMT mixed in with Tom Petty, Lou Reed and some Arctic Monkeys and the Black Keys.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went fishing with a old local near Port St. John's in the Transkei, South Africa. He said we didn't need poles to catch them. As the sun went down, flying fish launched themselves out of the water to catch insects and scores landed in our boat. He laughed and laughed his toothless laugh.
I rode a motorcycle 3,600 miles in 7 days. From Santa Barbara to New Hampshire.

I can wash dishes and feed cats and dogs. I can do laundry. I can sweep, mop and vacuum. I can do general handyman work (light carpentry, masonry, drywall, painting, etc.) I can bike to the store to get beer relax and watch tv or play cards against humanity. Damnit I've gone and rhymed it again!
