ABOUT ME

We are native Californians who lived in Seattle for five years until we sold everything in 2011 to travel around the world. We have settled back in California near San Francisco and would like to host again after we stayed at numerous houses around the world!

We are an outdoor, athletic vegetable eating couple who love gardening and raising chickens (although we now live in an apartment). We also love cooking, playing games, brewing beer & kombucha, riding bikes, snowboarding, music, coffee shops, poetry, artwork, being outside and trying new things. We both enjoy learning new cultures and customs and trying new food, even the big rice bugs in Cambodia!

Note: when it comes to eating, we enjoy making classic food vegan and we do our best to not support or purchase animal products.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We first hosted while living in Seattle, but then surfed around the world on our 22 month adventure. Now we are living near San Francisco and are hosting again!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Every experience has given us more real information about the world, and keeps us humble and grounded. It has been nice to meet like-minded people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One fun thing we did was run in the jungle with the Hash House Harriers in Malaysia... we came back with scratches, bruises, leaches, and lots of mud!

Teach, Learn, Share

We like to learn and share cooking skills while traveling. We also enjoy sharing local art galleries (including abandon building street art), local jam sessions and indoor and outdoor sports. We like to help people fix their bicycles and can show them how to make travel videos.
