Overview
About Me
I am a second language teacher. Right now I teach English as a second language and Spanish to elementary students. I have an art degree and I am an artist at heart first and foremost. I love to dance. I want to improve my Latin dances, and any other dances that I can learn.
I am a cancer survivor, almost 5 years now. I taught myself Spanish and people ask me if I am Venezuelan all the time so I must speak O.K.
I love to travel and I spent two months in Spain in 2013. I enjoy meeting new people and learning something new is what keeps me alive!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Public School teacher salary.
Also, the round with the big C ate up all of my mad money, LOL. I enjoy traveling and meeting new people, this seems like a great way to help me do that.
Interests
I am interested in everything! Art and the Humanities first and foremost. I just want to live my life knowing that I got the most out of it that I was able to. I am interested in Science and knowing how things work. Or why they don't.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite movies are too many to list, as well as my favorite books. I am a Jane Austen fan to be sure and Tolkien, and George Lucas, and Johnny Depp and I could go on too long here.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have raised a smart beautiful daughter who can take care of herself. I rode to Mexico in a pick up truck with 11 people on a non-stop journey of 39 hours and it was great!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my open-heart and some wonderful stories. I can teach my hosts how to cook authentic Mexican, even make homemade tortillas. I can teach my hosts Spanish including the curse words if necessary.. :)
