Why I’m on Couchsurfing

AS A SURFER

Aren't hotels the most boring thing ever? You arrive at your room after roaming the streets by yourself. You're alone. Broke, because of the ridiculous prices. You sit on the edge of your bed at night, contemplating your life and every decision you've ever made. You try to find comfort in one of the three free tv channels in a foreign language. Your thirsty ass grabs a €12 coke from the minibar. And you cry. Oh Lord, how you'll cry.

Then there is Couchsurfing. Embracing you. Welcoming you to the life of locals. Togetherness. Exchanging favors and having fun. Enabling you to buy your coke at the supermarket like a sane person. But honestly, it's loving and being loved. I never felt at home at home, but I sure do when someone invites me to theirs. You might think I'm exaggerating, but am I really?

AS A HOST

I have little experience as a host due to my living situation. I'm really looking forward to having my own place someday and open up my home to the community! I do imagine myself to be a good host; I'd be flexible, cool with hanging out or not hanging out and would share whatever I have to give - be that recommendations, my food, or my time.

AS NEITHER

CS provides a great opportunity to make new friends wherever I am. I love the hangout function and attending events, whether back home or on the road.

Interests

I'm a Psychology graduate (only recently) and spend a lot of my free time listening to music. I've started an attempt to learn Bosnian but it is no easy task lol. What is that grammar?!
Also into a bunch of sports: football, NFL, NBA, Formula 1, 2 and 3 predominantly.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last year I went to see reigning NFL Champions KC Chiefs play the Dolphins in Frankfurt. A childhood dream come true, still buzzing a year later!
