About Me
Hi, I’m Robin from Arnsberg, Germany. I see Couchsurfing as a way to truly connect with people rather than just visiting places.
I’m very interested in personal growth, mindfulness, and understanding life on a deeper level, not as an expert but as someone who enjoys learning through experience and conversation. I believe we grow most when we step outside our routine and meet people with different perspectives.
I’m open minded, respectful, and easygoing. I enjoy meaningful conversations just as much as simple moments like cooking together, going for a walk, or sharing a quiet evening. For me, good energy, honesty, and mutual respect are what matter most.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My journey to Rome started long before I had ever heard of Couchsurfing. I set off on my gravel bike without hotels, without a fixed plan, carrying only a tent, a hammock, and the desire to truly experience the road instead of just reaching a destination.
Day after day I moved forward along quiet roads and gravel paths, through landscapes you only get to see when you travel slowly. I slept outdoors between trees, near fields, or on the edge of small villages. In the evenings I was often tired and sometimes exhausted, but inside I felt calm and present. This way of traveling showed me how little you actually need and how much you can gain in return.
When I finally arrived in Rome, the goal was reached, but internally the real journey had already happened long before. On my last day, just before leaving, I started talking to a local. He listened to my story, smiled, and asked why I was not using Couchsurfing. Until that moment, I had never even heard of the app.
He explained that there are people who offer travelers not only a place to sleep, but also their time, conversations, and a glimpse into their real lives. In that moment, I realized that this was exactly what had been missing during my journey, even though I could not put it into words before. Not a roof over my head, but connection.
That encounter in Rome changed the way I travel forever. Since then, I know that traveling is not about distance or kilometers, but about the people you meet, the stories you share, and the moments that stay with you.
